Condiments on the Door: Bottom Shelf
A few years ago, we attended a wedding in upstate New York in the middle of the summer. The groom’s father gave us a large jug of maple syrup (far right) that he had tapped himself from the trees on his property. We have since enjoyed all the maple syrup (the couple now has 2 kids), but I couldn’t bear to toss out the jug…even though it takes up a lot of room. So I washed it out, and refill it when I need to. Every time I use the maple syrup, I am reminded of how special it is to receive homemade food gifts.
