farm fresh tomatoes + salt + pepper = good living

On most Wednesday mornings, you can find me in Santa Monica at the farmers market. I love the farmers market for many reasons, one of which is that most farmers encourage you to sample their wares, a sort of “try before you buy.” It’s fun to walk through the market, tasting and testing and debating with friends on who has “the best” this and that.

The tomatoes from Wong farms showed up a few weeks ago, but today they brought their salt and pepper shakers to enhance the taste-testing experience. One could sample several varieties of tomatoes, as well as their japanese cucumbers…with a dash of salt and pepper, if you like.

To me, it’s the little things in life that make it special…like a little salt and pepper with your farm-fresh tomatoes. Definitely good living!

and ps: when I bit into a cherry tomato (sprinkled with salt & pepper, of course), it was warm from the morning sun:)
